Victor Wanyama was sent off during a 2-0 win
over AFC Bournemouth this past weekend but speaking to the club's
official website, Koeman said that as much as Wanyama was an important
player, they had enough replacements. Saints will also miss Shane Long and Jay Rodriguez against Sunderland
We
have good competition in all the positions in the team. We know we
have still the same injuries like Shane Long and Jay Rodriguez, but we
have enough midfield players to replace Victor of course.
He's
a very important player but, we have more of that quality players on
the midfield. That's not a problem and it's all about giving a good
performance, he said.
Southampton are seventh while Sunderland are second from bottom in the league standing face off in the early kick off game on Saturday the saints will be hoping to maintain their winning streak while Sunderland will be hoping to bounce back from a defeat after losing 6-2 to Everton.
