DEAL OR NO DEAL.

The national union of teachers is set to hold a meeting tomorrow in a bid to discuss a recent deal broken by president Uhuru Kenyatta. Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) National Executive Council will meet over the deal which requires the teachers union to withdraw court cases and begin fresh paying negotiations.
This comes as KNUT secretary general that had been awarded by the labor court Wilson Sossion has disputed the deal reached between Teachers Service Commission and its steering committee lead by KNUT chairman Mudzo Nzili. According to Sossion, calling for fresh negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement means the teachers will loose the 50-60% pay rise that had been awarded by the labour court.
