MALI SIEGE

Atleast 21 people have been feared dead in Radisson Blu hotel in Mali.
The attack started at 7.00am when 2 or 3 men armed with Ak 47 came in shouting,"god is great" in islam and immediately started shooting the soldiers at the Radisson Hotel.

There were dozens of Hostages held in the hotel of whom most of the hostages were tourists who had come for delegations meeting of bringing peace in the regions that have experienced unrest due to islamic affiliates.Al Qaeda affiliated jihadi group claim they are reaponsible for the attack.
This is not the first time that Mali has been targeted,This is the 3rd attack since 2013.There has been unrest in northern parts of the country since 2012 but the french military assisted the government in defeating the militia.

This attack comes shortly one week later after Paris experienced horrific terror attacks in six different parts killing atleast 130 people.

Mavado to host 2015 Pulse awards

David Constantine Brooks, better known by his stage name Mavado is among the important artists set to host the annual Pulse awards that recognises and awards local talents.
The 33-year old Jamaican native will be flying from Amsterdam, Netherlands to Nairobi,Kenya on December 8 ahead of his major public family concert taking place over the Jamhuri weekend. The Pulse awards are set to take place on December 11and will be held at IMAX 20th century and Mavado’s main public show will be taking place that weekend. 
The singer will do a performance to eager fans, courtesy of a Norway-based Kenyan promoter Edifice who has already made sure that all arrangements for the much-anticipated concert are very much secured. Mavado, whose songs are popular in Kenya such as Caribbean Girls, My Own and Give it all to Me is has worked with renowned international artists such as Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Fabolous, Ace Hood, Akon, Snoop Dogg and Jay Z.

How Nigerin superstar got robbed in south Africa

South Africa will never seize to amaze us when it comes to robbery, these guys simply can't help it! While other African artists were at the Afrima awards last weekend, 22-year old David Adedeji Adeleke better known by his stage name Davido was robbed at gun point by unknown robbers while in the company of his manager during their trip in South Africa.
The Lagos-based multiple award-winning singer claimed to haves lost$185,000 (Sh18.9m), two Rolex watches and a passport to robbers who robbed him and his manager at gun point in Sandton, Johannesburg. Davido said that he was scared for his life, his daughter is only what he could think of during the scary ordeal.“My daughter’s face was flashing through my eyes the whole time,” said Davido.
The singer claimed that they had just arrived at Sandton, South Africa to prepare for a concert that was to happen that weekend when the gunmen caught up with them at the traffic lights. “We had just arrived here to prepare for a concert set to take place this weekend when two gunmen caught up with us as we stopped at the traffic lights. They smashed our windows and the rest is history,” Davido explained. 
It is alleged the money carried in bags, was of different currencies.
