MISS WORLD KENYA

The 2015 miss world Kenya goes to none other than Charity Mwangi from Kiambu county.
After coming no where near the three top spots of last years Miss World Kenya, the 23-year old university student can now take a break from all the hustle and bustle and relax like a princess that she is now.
The now former miss Kiambu county battled over nine other girls in the pageant and triumphed to be crowned the 2015 Miss World Kenya. The second runners- up included Wangechi Mushiri-from Kirinyanga county- and Lucy Amtallah-from Bungoma county. Mwangi will be the one to represent Kenya in the annual miss world event set for December in China.
The Glitzy ceremony held at Weston hotel along langata road included performances from well known international artists such as international reggae band Morgan Heritage, who unsurprisingly entertained the crowd and guests at the gala.
“I feel overjoyed and lost of words right now. This is so exciting. It is a dream come true,” Charity told the Mondayblues after Idah Nguma, former miss world Kenya handed over the crown to her.
“After failing to win the crown last year, I remained steadfast and went on with my charity projects as miss world Kenya Kiambu county. I wasn’t focusing on winning the title. I was serving my community and being true to self [and that] is what enabled me to win the crown this time around,” said the stunning beauty from Kiambu county who also got a brand new car and cash prize from the organizers of the event.
