ARSENAL LOOK TO KENYA'S WANYAMA, FOLLOWING INJURY SETBACKS

By Rene Otinga.

Theo Walcott is among the many Arsenal players on the injury list
Arsenal are planning to make an official bid for Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama, as they look to ease some pressure on what is potentially an injury crisis.

In their latest injury list they have lost three midfielders, with the likes of Santi Cazorla Coquelin and Arteta all out injured.

Arsenal have made Victor Wanyama their number one target in the coming transfer window
These injuries has rendered their midfield exposed, begging Wenger to take stern action, with the Kenyan midfielder their number one target in January.

Southampton's Wanyama  was on the verge of leaving Southampton last season, with London giants Tottenham Hotspur on his heels, but the transfer requests eventually broke down.
The Saints from Wales will however find it difficult to keep Wanyama this season, as his recent form has been reflected in huge European clubs making extravagant bids for him.

With Arsenal making direct attempts to lure Wanyama to their squad, the move would be a bold step to prove their European credentials, as well as challenge for the title which many Arsenal legends such as Thierry Henry bellieve  this is their best chance to win the Premier League.

Manchester United to make huge bid for Everton Defender.

By Rene Otinga
John Stones is seemingly Everton's most valuable player.

John Stones could well be on his way to Manchester United, if Everton find the dea to swoop the defender for the Reds.

United are believed to be monitoring the Evertonian and could bid for as much as 50 million Euros for the England international to make him the most expensive defender.

The move seems plausible, but the price tag is outrageous, as some of the United fans o Twitter do not believe Stones is worth that much at this time.

According to a popular UK newspaper, the Daily Star, The Old Trafford outfit have made the Stones and their No.1 transfer target next summer - whether Louis van Gaal remains in charge or not, and they are willing to make him the most expensive defender in the world.

This has come at the back of a poor defensive showing from Manchester United in the Champions League final group game against VFL Wolfsburg, which saw them concede three goals, consequently condemning them to the Europa League.

They are determined to beat bitter rivals Chelsea in the race to land Stones despite the fact the Blues spent two months attempting to sign Stones last summer and saw three bids of up to £38m rejected.

BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER HANDED BAN OVER VIOLENT CONDUCT.

By Rene Otinga
Schweinsteiger, who was part of their 2014 World Cup-winning side, joined United from Bayern Munich during  the summer and has made 24 appearances for the club, scoring one goal.

Manchester United Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has been issued a three match ban by the FA for was was regarded as 'violent conduct'.

The midfielder had a clash with WestHam defender Winston Reid during last Saturday's clash which ended in a stalemate.

Bastian was involved in a back and fourth with Reid following a corner for Manchester United, and videos show  what seems to be an elbow to the defender's face.

A panel of three former elite referees each reviewed the video footage independently of one another and unanimously decided it was a sending-off offence.

The incident was not seen by the match officials but was caught on video.

Reid, in a post match interview, said, "He knows what he's done - he's elbowed me in the face."

Consequently, Schweinsteiger, 31, will miss games against Bournemouth, Norwich and Stoke, and return in time to play Chelsea.

FOOTBALL: Lamela hits treble as Spurs secure top spot by John Green

Lamela celebrates with teammates

Spurs sealed top spot in Group J as they breezed past Monaco after a devastating first-half performance from Erik Lamela, who scored three goals for the time in England.

Erik Lamela hit a first-half hat-trick as Tottenham clinched top spot in Group J of the Europa League with a 4-1 triumph over Monaco at White Hart Lane.

Lamela broke the deadlock inside two minutes before a goalkeeping howler gifted him a second after a quarter of an hour. His third arrived shortly before the break, taking his tally in the competition this season to five.

Tom Carroll also scored for Mauricio Pochettino's side, as they stretched their unbeaten run in all competitions to nine matches with a third successive home win in Europe.

Stephan El Shaarawy's fine effort on the hour was no more than a consolation for Monaco. The Ligue 1 side finish behind both Tottenham and Anderlecht - who defeated Qarabag 2-1 at home - in the final standings.

With a place in the last-32 already guaranteed, Pochettino had the luxury of naming Dele Alli and Harry Kane among the substitutes.

Ugandans Love Them A Sidika

Story By Alton Acholla

Kenyans may not be feeling this socialite craze even though we have two influential ones in Vera Sidika and Huddah Monroe.Such assumptions however, cannot be made for other African countries who seem to adore these 'blessed' ladies.

The voluptuous Vera took her 'sidika' toUganda and just after landing at the airport, the Ugandans lost it.Shoves,Pushes and Scrams were the order of the day as many tried to catch a glimpse of the beauty and possibly her now famous derriere.

Journalists and photographers were falling over themselves at the airport down taking a million photos and clamoring to have a piece of the wondrous woman.
The socialite was then whisked off the airport aboard a fleet of pricey range-rovers headed for a posh hotel where she had been booked.
The Boss lady will be making an appearance in the matoke country.
