Controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi got into trouble with long arm of the law over the weekend.Nyakundi, who was in the company of five other people was stopped around Makutano area and their phones and laptops confiscated .They then waited for close to two hours for other CID officers to arrive,after that the officers left with Cyprian alone.
There are varied speculations that the CID officers were from Kerugoya,Meru and Nairobi.The bloggers arrest drew wide outcry over social media with popular Bloggers like Xtiendela championing for his release using the hashtag FreeNyakundi. Many social media users viewed this as an intimidation move by the authority as similar cases have been on the rise. His whereabouts were uknown for most parts of yesterdasy and today and latest information is that Nyakundi is at Parklands Police Station with his lawyers demanding for his release.
